I'm struggling to write. I pretty much have to face it, I've lost any creative spark I had - hopefully not permanently, although it's been over a year since I really wrote anything I felt good about.

Thus I don't really have any reason to hang around here. I don't update my journal enough and I don't frequent the forums, well, ever.

If yr interested, my is under Please, feel free to stalk and possibly molest me.

But for now... adeui.

Night mail

This is the mail, crossing the border / bring our cheques and postal order...

Today I bought a typewriter :-) It's very cool, and now I feel like a propoer writer, instead of those fake writers with their laptops and word processors.

I'm such a snob.

Apparently, peas were the first vegetables ever to be frozen. I'm virtually certain that it's a question in Trivial Pursuits, so remember that - it could earn you your green wedge some day.

Nothing much new. Don't really know why I'm doing this, just get bored of the same old.

I got a new laptop, it's very nice. I makes basically no noise whatsoever, so I can leave it on while I sleep, which is quite special. I've pretended to start writing again, but have actually failed because I suck. I have landed the job of editor on my final year film of choice, which looks like it'll be a good project to be on. I have spent the day completely unconstructively. I have taken to writing like a ticker-tape. I am bored out of my tiny empty skull.

After a complex scam involving a loophole in the ruleset that allowed me infinate water, the most overpowered effect imaginable and two days of silence, I have claimed my position as the new Emperor of BlogNomic. A Nomic is a game that progesses through changing the rules; proposals are voted on and anacted, until eventually someone puts forward and fulfils a win condition (or exploits a loophole, a la me), at which point the whole thing resets and we start again. For my dynasty, we're going for Prohibition America, with lots of lovely infighting as the Don and his mobsters take on the Man and the 'Feds. Should be fun.

I tried to set up a Nomic on The Complete Tales but was frustrated by lack of willingness and imagination, which isn't what I expected from the 'Tales crew. Ah well.

Nomics are fun.

My dissertation is up to wordcount, and I refuse to touch it again. It's formatted right, the references are fine, the god damned bibliography is 4 pages long on its own, and the contents page is a modified version of the one on the lecturer's own website. So a big 'fuck you' to the faculty of the University of HA!. I'm taking a 3-week break from anything more strenuous than sitting on my bed listening to the Ave Maria.

I guess that will mean my journal'll be sparser than usual. BUT it does mean that my deviation count may finally break double figures. And it definately means that I'll stop being so tense and snappy.

I'm not an unfeeling bastard, I just sometimes like to act like I am, because it's easier than having to justify myself. Nor am I an apologist.

I feel a long way from tranquility right now.
